Celebrate Success

Your success is our success. Stories about our patients who are going back to life.

I have been blessed with a passion for the outdoors and for what some people call “adventure” sports. I love being outside, all seasons, hiking, climbing, backcountry skiing, and trail running. I got really interested in ultra running (running farther than a marathon) in 2002. The Wasatch 100 was my intro into this world. It was a fantastic experience, but I limped away injured. I struggled along for many months, not really getting better. A friend of mine suggested seeing Steve and the rest is history so to speak. Steve and I have become good friends as he has helped me through my various issues.

The underlying problem has been some pelvic instability. Because of that I have experienced several other things including iliotibial band syndrome and some low back problems. Steve has always been there ready to get me back in the game. I’ve learned a lot about my body, when to push, when to rest, how to stretch and strengthen to keep me active. It’s been a rare day when Steve has suggested stopping activity. This year I completed my tenth 100 mile run. I’m happy to say Steve was with me again as I trained and during the last 25 miles as he paced me to the finish. What more could you ask for from a physical therapist!
