The median nerve travels from the forearm into your hand through a "tunnel" in your wrist. The bottom and sides of this tunnel are formed by wrist bones. The top of the tunnel is covered by a strong band of connective tissue called a ligament (tranverse ligament). What is carpal tunnel syndrome and do you have symptoms? Take the Carpal Tunnel Screening Quiz.
Example – If you answered yes to one – four of these questions and the symptoms persist you should seek medical attention. Schedule an evaluation with a Certified Hand Therapist for an evaluation and learn non-surgical options for the treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. If your condition requires more invasive treatments, such as surgery or injections, your hand therapists will work collaboratively with physicians who specialize in the treatment of hand conditions.
